Stephen has been practising optometry for over 25 years. He accomplished a Bachelor of Optometry degree with Honours from UNSW and has since obtained a Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics (UNSW, 2017), enabling medications to be prescribed for a range of eye infections and red eye conditions.

Passionate about helping children to achieve their best, Stephen served from 1996 to 2010 on the Board of Learning Links (formerly the Association of Children with Learning Difficulties), a charity that assists children with learning difficulties.
Apart from all things eyes, Stephen loves to cycle with friends, spend time cooking with his wife, and play board games, especially with his two boys who are both in high school.
